The council meetings are held the first Saturday of each month (excluding January) at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Angola, at 8:30 a.m.

With the many environmental issues around our lake and all lakes in general we have the Steuben County Lakes Council keeping an eye out for our quality of life on the lake. Please read the attached letter from Jim Aikman and Pete Hippensteel's Position Paper on the Proposed CAFO.

Fishing

To fish in public lakes, streams, rivers or tributaries in the state of Indiana or its boundary waters, you must have a valid fishing license. License holders must carry their license while fishing and present it to a conservation officer (or any authorized law enforcement official) upon request. There are fines and penalties for fishing without a license. You can apply online and print a license here [Indiana Outdoor Online Licensing Website]. Crooked Lake has one public boat launch and one private boat launch. The private boat launch is at Casey’s Cove Marina. The public launch is inside Steuben County Park off County Road 200 West on east side of first basin.
